Posted on April 5, 2021

Hello, I have two VPS. On one install certbot, docker and run them. Than I made a copy of first droplet and now I have a second VPS with another IP. And I found that on first droplet certbot use 70% CPU, and by this reason server work is not good. But on the second server certboot dont use like first. What the problem? May virus, threat? What is?

Hi there,

What I could suggest is checking the Let’s Encrypt logs. You can find the log at:

/var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log

Also I could suggest using the ps -aux command to check if there are any other suspicious processes running on the server.
