I'm having issues transfering a page over.

Posted on December 27, 2019

I have a page where all my CSS elements and such work perfectly fine, I registered a new domain did the droplet thing and transfered everything over to the new domain via ftp, adjusted the .haccess or whatever and I can get index.php to show, but the css elements aren’t there. It’s all just plain text and I have no clue how to fix it.

I was still having issues, no clue what exactly was the source of it, but I rebuilt the entire droplet from scratch and it’s working now. @KDSys, Thank you for all your help on the matter! It was a lot of good information to know and I do believe I learned something from all of this. So again, thank you again for taking the time to help me.

Hi @Cain533,

Can you confirm you’ve installed PHP on your droplet? If you haven’t, I’ll recommend checking the article on how to install either LEMP or LAMP depending on your Web Service (Nginx/Apache). In the articles, there is a section about PHP installation -

Nginx with PHP - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-nginx-mysql-php-lemp-stack-ubuntu-18-04

Apache with PHP - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-stack-ubuntu-18-04

Regards, KDSys
