Install openvpn-as successfully on Ubuntu 13.04 but client page hangs

Posted on October 19, 2013

I installed openvpn-as successfully on my droplet using Ubuntu 13.04 x64 and the admin page works fine. But when I access the client page to try and download the VPN software, the image just spins/hangs without going to login. I have rebooted the server and that doesn’t solve it.

Any ideas?

openvpn-as is running the latest version for Ubuntu 13, found here: <br> <br>http://swupdate.openvpn.org/as/openvpn-as-2.0-Ubuntu13.amd_64.deb <br>

have you taken a look @ <a href=“https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-openvpn-access-server-on-ubuntu-12-04”>How to Install OpenVPN Access Server on Ubuntu 12.04</a>?

I had the same “problem” today. Turned out my browser thought the client page had an unsafe script running. I use chrome. In the address bar to the right of the url was a shield icon. I clicked on it and it gave me an option to run unsafe scripts. Once allowed the client page started immediately and connected on the 1st attempt. Hope that helps…
