Installing MediaWiki on One Droplet but using different domains.

Posted on January 27, 2018

Steps :

  1. I want to install MediaWiki on Droplet A since Droplet B is hosting other things. Don’t want to waste space.
  2. Droplet A has different domains than Droplet B.
  3. How do I link my MediaWiki site on Droplet A to Droplet B’s domain? I don’t want to use Droplet A’s domains for my MediaWiki site.

The easiest way to do this would be to create a subdomain of the domain on Droplet A and point it to droplet B. Then create a virutalhost entry for the new subdomain pointed to the directory where Mediawiki is/will be installed.
