Inter DROPLETS communication problem

Posted on September 28, 2015

Hi,

Recently (last night), I created my 4th droplet (devserver04) and received a PRIVATE IP = 10.130.61.161.

And because it is in a different network segment with my other 3 droplets (which I create months ago), with their PRIVATE IPs are: 10.130.115.149 (devserver02), 10.130.115.150 (devserver03), and 10.130.115.147 (devserver01), I cannot PING any of my previous droplets from my new droplet.

I really need to setup database REPLICATION amongst these droplets. Please I need help (urgent)

Trace-route from my 1st droplet (devserver01) to my 4th is like below:

dev@devserver01:~# traceroute 10.130.61.161
traceroute to 10.130.61.161 (10.130.61.161), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 10.130.115.147 (10.130.115.147) 2998.863 ms !H 2998.833 ms !H 2998.825 ms !H
dev@devserver01:~#

While trace-route from my 4th droplet to my 1st is like below:

dev@devserver04:~# traceroute 10.130.115.147
traceroute to 10.130.115.147 (10.130.115.147), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
1 128.199.127.253 (128.199.127.253) 0.907 ms 128.199.127.254 (128.199.127.254) 3.357 ms 128.199.127.253 (128.199.127.253) 0.855 ms

This question was answered by @ryanpq:

Are your droplets all in the same datacenter? Private IPs do not allow for communication between different data centers or regions.
