Is digitalocean beginner friendly?

Posted on December 17, 2014

If digitalocean will be my first host and I will use python django, flask is it a good fit.

Will I find it hard to manage services and upgrades myself?

Hello

DO (DigitalOcean) is good for learning cloud host config. This video is about all what you will need. You may not understand some parts at the first time, but read tutorial or try to make research on these parts . If you want to use DO for production, you must be very careful with security. Learn how tu secure your droplet.

Hope that helps

DigitalOcean is quite beginner friendly if you want to learn. While your new droplet will not have a control panel on it that lets you install and configure services with a few clicks of the mouse we do provide a vast collection of tutorials to walk you through the processes to get your droplet up and running with the configuration you want. I would recommend checking out some of the tutorials to get a feel for what you will be doing to get a feel for what’s required.
