I ssh to my droplet via ssh -X user@ipaddress. Then type startx. X11forwarding is set to Yes in config. Here is the tail of my log: Fatal server error: [519911.798] (EE) parse_vt_settings: Cannot open /dev/tty0 (Permission denied) [519911.799] (EE) [519911.801] (EE)
Is this just impossible with a headless connection?

Hey friend!
There may be some way to work that out, and perhaps someone who has done it will drop by and offer some insight on that. In the meantime, I thought I’d share my favorite alternative. No doubt you don’t want VNC because it’s really not designed for seamless desktop app usage. Instead, I bring you the best thing since RDP:

With x2go you can have a full remote Linux desktop on your computer, even multi-monitor and full resolution with little to no latency. I kind of think you might love it, I do :)
