Hello, all

The support for PTR records for IPv6 addresses was actually added a while back. By default, each Droplet with IPv6 enabled will be configured with a single IPv6 address. This is the address that will be used for any PTR records that will be generated for domains pointing at your server. Like with IPv4, if the hostname given to the Droplet is an FQDN, the PTR record will be generated automatically.

Hope that this helps! Regards, Alex

Currently there are no IPv6-Addresses available. This is in beta stage and will be available within this year i guess. DO has posted some news about it in the forums here but nothing concrete.

DO does not provide native IPv6, but personally I’ve had no trouble with IPv6 tunnels. The lag is barely noticable (Hurricane Electric’s PoP is ~1.7ms from DO’s New York location) and it’s been working fine for me.

As for native, as fs mentioned, there is discussion about it but no official ETA.
