Is it possible to import db tables to mysql 5.7 from msyql 8.0.19?

Posted on May 16, 2020

I’m in the process to transfer a wordpress site to a new droplet which uses an older version of mysql 5.7.23. I want to start with a clean install a database, so only the necessary tables will come to the new database, but the old server is using mysql 8.0.19. Can I import tables from mysql 8.0.19 to a database using an older mysql 5.7? If yes, do I need to do anything beside importing the mysqldump?
