Let’s say I’m running a bitcoin node in a DO droplet. It stores blockchain database (200GB+) on an attached volume. I’d like to periodically snapshot the volume and offer it to other DO users as a starting point for bootstrapping their nodes.
I guess it would be possible to contact support and instruct them to transfer snapshot ownership on ad-hoc basis. But I’d like to imagine something as a self-service. Would this be a valid feature request?

Hey friend,
While not a current feature, it has been requested here: https://ideas.digitalocean.com/ideas/DO-I-317
I’ve added your comment there and a vote on your behalf :)
