When I enable private networking, can I be sure that the private interface will always be eth1? At least when using Ubuntu 14.04.
And the public interface will always be eth0?

Hello,
As we discussed in your ticket, the private interface is always secondary on creation if selected, so it will be labelled at eth1 on the Ubuntu image.
