I followed the instruction “How to Set Up an IKEv2 VPN Server with StrongSwan on Ubuntu 16.04” at
Everything was fine but there is one catch. When configuring the client (right) side IPSec parameters, should I replace the text in red in the instruction with some personal setting?
Since I kept those parameters as they are, I can connect to the VPN I set up, at least in my Windows VPN setting. However, when I use browser to figure out my IP address, my real IP address, instead of the one of the VPN server, is detected. Apparently I am not actually connected to the VPN. What should I do?
I also tried it with ipad. I got connected to VPN, but I had no access to the internet at all.
Thanks for your help.
