Issues with locale on a Ubuntu Droplet?

Posted on February 12, 2015

Installing MySQL right now, keep seeing these messages:

locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory

Initially a message popped up that said there was location issues or something like that.

Typed in these two things (the first one, the language pack, couldn’t be found, so I typed in the second command instead).

sudo apt-get install language-pack-UTF-8
sudo locale-gen UTF-8

Please help. Thanks.

Please help :(

Try: export LC_ALL =“en_US.UTF-8” export LC_TYPE =“UTF-8”

After that:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

Worked for me.
