Hi,
I installed phpMyAdmin from the repo. It’s the version 4.0.10 but I see that the current stable version of phpMyAdmin is 4.2.6.
Why don’t we have the latest version?

4.2.6 hasn’t been packaged yet to Ubuntu repositories and it might not even get there before the next Ubuntu release (as Ubuntu isn’t rolling release) unless there are important security fixes.

If you are sure that you need the latest version, you can download it from phpMyAdmin homepage or check if they have a PPA that you could enable.
