hi all. i need some guidance on getting the server available to external connection. reason for this is to get metagate running and available to main net

Your server by default is available for external connections. Having said that, most probably you want to run a service on a specific port.
For instance, usually Web Servers run on port 80 and 443, mailing services run on port 25,465,587,993,995 etc. In your case, you’ll need to see which port your desired service is running and open it from your firewall for outgoing connections.
