After I have made some security changes (root login disabled, only login with keys, changed the default SSH-port) the message after login does not appear. Usually I got a message with the number of running processes, disk usage information and a notification when there were updates available.
Can somebody help me to get that back? Thanks in advance!

Depending on the distribution you’re using, you can write a new (or regenerate the default) /etc/motd to have that data appear on boot. For example, here is how it’s handled in Ubuntu:

Alternatively, you can copy the file from another droplet if you cannot locate it, or were unable to regenerate it.
