Example linkI cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to reconfigure my DNS settings to redirect mc.example.com to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:12345 for Minecraft connections. The server is hosted through another company, not digital ocean, but I have the IPv4 to connect it to as well as a port.
Minecraft connects through 25565 by default, unless specified otherwise. I want mc.example.com:25565 to connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:12345 (not 25565).
I tried to follow This Enjin example, and successfully did on my Enjin hosted website, but some of the information isn’t lining up to the DO DNS settings. Enjin must have some magic already coded for them.
Has anyone done this? Can anyone help?

DNS doesn’t point at ports, it only points at IPs.
You can forward ports by adding firewall (iptables/pf) rules on the machine the name points at, the way you do this depends on the OS that mc.example.com is running.
