No success trying to install a version of centos 6. I know it’s past eol, but I have software that needs centos 6.
I installed the image from: https://cloud.centos.org/centos/6/images/CentOS-6-x86_64-GenericCloud.qcow2
I installed that as a custom image and then created the droplet based on that custom image.
When I installed it with SSH keys checked - no root access When I installed it with root/password it complained that ssh was not available; to try ssh.
I think DO requires custom images to already have cloud-init and I can’t find any version of centos6 that indicates it would work with digitalocean.
The above seemed to work fine with default built in centos7.
Any advice, appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Chris.

Hi there,
I just tested this with the image that you’ve provided. It looks like that if you try to access it via the console you see the following message:
Booting from Hard disk....
Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)... ok
What I could suggest is trying out the solution from here:
Another option would be to try it out with a different CentOS 6 image.
