Question

One Click Application Install

  • Posted March 2, 2015

Seems that one click install of applications only available at Droplet creation time?

How about the use case of customers who virtual host? One click seems to have a limitation in that it only lets the customer install apps into one domain/host. Anything beyond that, the customer has to install the apps manually per virtual host.

Our one-click images are complete environments including the OS and software. Because of this you are able to select a one-click image instead of a stock OS image. Since the one-clicks are not scripts that modify your droplet but are rather complete images themselves there is nothing that can be applied to an already running droplet aside from rebuilding it.

Just a guess, but I imagine that adding virtualhosts to the mix exponentially increases possible variables for errors and problems with one click installs.

If you can successfully set up virtualhosts on your server, do you find it difficult to install applications?
