Our website is down. How do we force a droplet migration? (Support isn't replying to ticket)

Posted on July 31, 2020

Our server experts found that the failure was at the base system level so we need a new droplet. I can see how to create a droplet, but the process described for Droplet Live Migration sounds like a dream. Is there a way to manually initiate this, because support isn’t responding to my tickets.

Hey @CuteDarkCyanDolphin,

In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.

Do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?

Hope that helps! - Matt.

To be fair, I just searched and they did respond to a previous ticket. Somehow I missed it. However, this issue hasn’t been responded to yet and I’m kind of in a hurry, so hoping there is a resolution out there.
