I’m following this guide - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/initial-server-setup-with-ubuntu-12-04 - and it lets me type my login name, but no matter what I do, it won’t let me type in my password. It just stays blank, and does nothing. If I hit enter it says incorrect password.

Just type or paste the password normally. The screen isn’t going to show the letters you type or any ****.
I’m new to the system and I’m having the same problem. Do I need to add user@ip then password because it’s not taking user/psswd
