Postfix 550 error

Posted on October 2, 2013

I have postfix installed and added MX record to my DNS.

When I try to send an email from that VM under a non root account I get:

bob@blah.com: host blah.com[123.147.240.200] said: 550-Verification failed for bob@bluedoorpottery.com 550-No Such User Here 550 Sender verify failed

This was resolved on IRC, the problem was the 550 was being thrown by the REMOTE host. The local configuration was OK.
