I have moved a few sites from another host to my droplet and have a problem with the text editor.
All text is stripped past any accented character when I save the article or the page. It happens in html or in wysiwyg view, in Wordpress or Joomla, even on a fresh install of WP or Joomla.
Seems like a server configuration. Has anybody a clue, didn’t find a solution in two days…

Do you have your MySQL tables set to utf8? It should be fix accented characters.
Yes, there are set to utf8. <br> <br>The problem is now solved, it came from a faulty mbstring configuration.
