Remove 1-click Wordpress install from Ubuntu

Posted on April 24, 2014

Is there a way to completely remove the 1-click Wordpress from an Ubuntu server? I must have accidentally clicked on the option when spinning up my droplet.

I did try using the the “sudo apt-get purge wordpress” command but it complains about the “wordpress” packaged not being installed.

Rebuild the droplet from a standard distro.

That is what I ended up doing just wanted to see if there was a command to do it although rebuilding is probably the best / easiest / convenient option.

Thanks for your help.
