Resizing a standard (shared) droplet to general purpose droplet

Thanks for reaching out! I understand you are trying to resize from a Basic Droplet with 50 GB disk to a General Purpose Droplet with 25 GB disk. As you rightly mentioned, we do not have the ability to resize servers that have been created or resized to a bigger disk, since we are unable to shrink the disk allocation. There is no safe way to shrink a Droplet’s disk partitions, and this is a risky procedure to undertake on any Linux system.

Kindly note that the a new IP address will be assigned to the Droplet upon creation.
