Hello,
My place of work is having trouble with our internet connection, so our usual IT provider tried to set us up on a 3G dongle attached to the WAN of out router. This isn’t working though as the ISP seems to block port 25 so our emails are not getting through or being received.
I had the idea of connecting a machine in our office to my DO droplet through a VPN to provide the static IP, this machine will then connect to the WAN of the router.
Is it possible to pass all traffic through the VPN tunnel including SMTP over port 25, and for the VPN server to listen on port 25, and then send this traffic through the VPN tunnel?
I have read that I need to open a ticket with DO help to open port 25. can any one offer ant further help?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge concerning mail protocols and the like, it is new ground for me.

Alternatively, we’d recommend using TLS or SSL to send your emails on ports other than 25 - 465 or 587 respectively. This would allow you to send more secure email, and also possibly get your emails sent instead of being blocked. Would that be an option?
