Hi!
Can you possibly clarify if the student pack expires in 30 days or 1 year? From the information on the DO website, it should expire in a year. However, an email I received after the registration says:
"Hi there,
You’ve been granted credit to use on your DigitalOcean account for $50.00. We’ve updated your balance, which you can view at https://www.digitalocean.com/billing. **Please note that this credit will expire after 30 days if it's not used.**

Happy Coding,
Team DigitalOcean"
So which is it, 1 year or 30 days?
Thanks!

Hi,
The email you received was for our sign up credit which indeed expires in 30days.
For the student credit, you need to sign up first for the GitHub Student Developer pack and from there you would be able to generate a unique code for DigitalOcean that can be claimed then for a $50 / 12 month credit from within your DigitalOcean billing page.
I hope this helps clarify your concern.
Regards, Adeel
