Terms of Service Question?

Posted on May 1, 2015

Hello, I had a question about the terms of service. The terms of service specifically states “DigitalOcean may permit, in its sole discretion, adult websites that abide by state and federal law and regulation.” My question is that, would DigitalOcean be willing to host a website that was the website of a webcam girl? The material would likely involve material around the BBW community (big, beautiful, woman) and the site would feature photos as a promotion. The pictures (and website) would be properly marked as “adult content” prior to the viewer being able to actually view the material. The material would NOT contain graphic depictions of blood and gore, and all parties involved would be twenty one years old (or older). The website would serve (as stated earlier) as a personal promotion website and to host photos and videos. Any material would be 100% consensual and have proper warnings prior to the actual film material (such as WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS _____ VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED).

This should not pose a problem. Except in extreme cases legal adult content is allowed on our platform. I’m not a lawyer and so I am not able to provide definitive legal answers for you but for this type of content I would recommend ensuring that you have the legally required US code compliance message indicating that documentation for models is on file in order to comply with US law.
