I am trying to setup an Ubuntu virtual machine with GUI, mainly to install some windows programs with pine and run the 24H a day. But I got stuck with changing the keyboard layout. I am able to install the GUI and access it, but in the menu for adding additional keyboard layouts there are no possibilities to add new layouts. Any idea?

- I tried a fresh Ubuntu server 12.04.3 installed myself the xubuntu graphics part
- Again a fresh Ubuntu server 12.04.3, and installed Ubuntu Desktop
In all cases I got a working remote connection, in some cases with some System Errors displayed, but there was not possible to add more keyboard layouts.

Actually I have tried booth, with the same results as you did. I also got some system errors. <br> <br>
