I installed NGINX through the Digital Ocean DOKS Market Place, i see version is 1.0.4 which is the latest. How should i manage upgrades? Should i replace the resource myself or is this managed somehow?

The NGINX version installed via the DigitalOcean Kubernetes Marketplace is managed by the type of setup you selected. If you used a Helm chart or Kubernetes Operator to install NGINX, updates to the application will usually be rolled out through those same mechanisms. However, the specific process can vary based on the actual install method.
In many cases, upgrades will require you to manually replace the resource, mainly to ensure you have a chance review any potential changes that could affect your application. Make sure to backup your current configuration and test the new version in a non-production environment before proceeding
