vangrant and droplents

Posted on May 1, 2014

I’m a little confused. If i use vagrant on my local machine to set everything up, how can I then deploy that set-up as a droplet?

All the tutorial seem to create droplets with vigrant installed on them which then use virtualbox which has ubuntu installed on that. That seems a bit redundant.

Can anyone clarify this?

For deploying to DigitalOcean using Vagrant, I’d look at using this provider plugin:

https://github.com/smdahlen/vagrant-digitalocean

There’s a tutorial covering it here:

https://digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-use-digitalocean-as-your-provider-in-vagrant-on-an-ubuntu-12-10-vps
