What is the private address on eth0?

I have droplet on centos 7

And i can see second address on eth0

ip addr … eth0 inet 10.13.0.5/16 brd 10.13.255.255 scope global eth0 …

Why address this need? Can I remove it?

One more question

This dropplete off private network. Why state eth1 still UP?

3: eth1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP

Hey there,

The private IP you are seeing is used to automatically bind a Floating IP to your Droplet when assigned via the control panel or API. You can look at this for more details on Floating IP’s. If you want to use Floating IP’s with this Droplet, you would not want to remove the private IP from eth0.

In terms of your eth1 question, that may be best answered in a support ticket. Please reach out with more details in a support ticket and we can take a closer look for you,
