Hi there,

What is the VPN service that you are using? What I could suggest is using the OpenVPN Access Server 1-Click installation from the Marketplace here:

https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/openvpn-access-server

Besides that here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to figure out what might be going wrong:

  1. Check Your Firewall Settings: Sometimes, the VPN connection might be blocked by your firewall. Make sure that your VPN application has permission to connect to the internet.

  2. Reconfigure or Reinstall VPN: Your VPN configuration might be incorrect, or the installation might be corrupted. Try setting up the VPN again with the correct settings or reinstalling the VPN client.

  3. Try a Different VPN Server: Sometimes, the issue might be with the particular VPN server you’re trying to connect to. Try connecting to a different server in a different location, if your VPN service allows it.

  4. Check DNS Settings: VPNs often change your DNS settings to use their own DNS servers. Sometimes, these servers might not work properly with your network. Check your DNS settings and try using different DNS servers like Google’s (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare’s (1.1.1.1).

  5. Disable IPv6: Sometimes, VPNs can have issues with IPv6. You can try disabling IPv6 in your network settings and see if that resolves the issue.

Best,

Bobby
