I’ve noticed on this speedtest page: http://speedtest-sfo1.digitalocean.com/ If I click the “begin test” button it says 250 Mbps however if I download the test file, it comes in at around 100 Mbps. Is there any possible reason for the difference? Does the flash test use TCP anybody know? Thanks!

Hi!
It is possible that because the test file’s size is only 100MB, your download client did not have enough time to register the correct speed. The flash speedtest widget is usually more accurate than the download test files, so I would use the 250 Mbps figure. I believe the flash speedtest uses both TCP and UDP.
