Hi - I’m considering purchasing the £5/m package to host a Wordpress site I am creating.
I have a few questions first, however:

I plan sending traffic via paid ads to my website - so there could be spikes of high volume traffic, then redundant times. Will this hosting package scale up to meet the demands as they come, up to the 1TB limit per month? - ie. avoid “this page cannot be displayed” errors because of server overload

Is PHP5 installed - so I can use Wordpress plugins?

Can I use a Wordpress SMTP mailer from this?

Hi Alex, It’s pretty easy to upgrade your site to the next service tier. I’d take a look at your droplet dashboard and periodically view your network traffic.
PHP5 is not installed on a basic droplet. However, when you create an image, select “One-click Apps” and choose the Wordpress on 14.04. DigitalOcean built these images with everything ready to go for you.
Wordpress SMTP mailer - I’m not familiar with this application.
