Line-Up is a SaaS-based ticketing platform for live entertainment venues. They offer purchase flows that are simple to implement and maintain, allowing marketing teams to increase conversions without the need for experienced developers or long implementation periods.
Line-Up first partnered with DigitalOcean through the Hatch Program, which helps startups grow their businesses through infrastructure credits, training, and support.
In the beginning, Line-Up tested DigitalOcean through their smaller services and side projects. What they found impressed them. DigitalOcean’s offerings were straightforward, simple to use, and allowed the team to scale quickly and easily. They decided that migrating their entire platform to DigitalOcean was an opportunity to save time and energy.
Although they were initially concerned about the migration process, they quickly found they had no reason to worry. The migration was straightforward, only taking about a week, and there was no downtime for their customers, even when migrating production databases. Today, Line-Up uses DigitalOcean Managed Kubernetes, Managed Redis, and Managed PostgreSQL.
Line-Up has grown significantly in the last year, and their application being hosted on DigitalOcean has made it incredibly easy to scale. The Line-Up team takes advantage of the great support offered by DigitalOcean, along with DigitalOcean’s tutorials. Everything they need is at their fingertips, and they can get accurate, helpful information with a quick search. The support team even helped Line-Up with the creation of a new cluster, offering advice on scaling the load balancers and optimizing the node, improving the cluster without increasing costs for the Line-Up team.
DigitalOcean is so easy to use that more of the Line-Up team can get involved in setting up services and managing hosting. They have several big projects coming up over the next year, including improving how they monitor and maintain each cluster, growing and scaling their current clusters, and building a new reporting and analytics platform that will be hosted on DigitalOcean.
