When I joined DigitalOcean, I was looking for more than just a job—I wanted a place that felt like home. DO gave me that from day one. The way the company supported me, especially outside of work, allowed me to show up as my best self every day. Through big transitions like the pandemic, they always put my family first. That support helped me stay grounded and, in turn, empowered me to help others do their best work for our customers.

Our willingness to experiment. Even if a solution isn’t the perfect fit long term, we aren’t afraid to try it. Sometimes that means failing fast, sometimes it means pivoting quickly, but there’s always something new to learn and explore. That energy keeps things exciting and future-focused.
I’ll never forget the start of the pandemic. I’d only been at DO for about four months, and like many, the transition to working from home was brand new to me. But the way DO handled it was incredible. We had a fast, seamless transition to remote work, and we never missed a beat. During a time when everything felt uncertain, my coworkers became more than just colleagues, they became family. That sense of unity not only helped us get through a tough time, but it also fueled us to deliver some really impactful work at remarkable speed.
What brought me to DO in the first place was a referral from a friend and former colleague, someone who showed me what made this company different from any place I’d worked before. In my past roles at other companies, the mindset was often “just get it done,” no matter the personal cost. But at DO, I found a clear mission, supportive teammates, and a culture that actually prioritizes sustainable success. That focus and the drive to keep building with people who think about the future is what keeps me here today.
