DigitalOcean provides a RESTful API that can be communicated with over HTTP requests. A number of members of the community have written API wrappers that make it easier to work with in different programing languages. There’s one written for Java on GitHub.
That’s using APIv1, we just opened the beta of our APIv2 to the public yesterday. Check out the blog post announcing it and the developer documentation.
