I am successfully running a python app in app platform, and it reaches the managed Postgres database just fine.
I have created a connection pool in the database to increase the connection limit, but when updating the connection parameters in the python app, I just get timeouts when trying to reach the database connection pool.
What I have tried:
I can’t deactivate trusted sources in the database, since it is required for the project.

Hi there,
UPDATE:
PostgreSQL connection pools are now supported in App Platform using trusted sources.
For example if you connect your DigitalOcean database to an App Platform app as “mydb” component, and that database has a connection pool “mypool”, you can use bindable variables to automatically integrate it into your app as a trusted connection. An example environment variable would be:
${mydb.mypool.DATABASE_URL}
See the documentation.
Hope this helps.
