Question

application unable to login using the app platform

Hi,

I’ve setup a new app-platform project with an external database because i’ve got no knowledge on how to work with PostgreSQL. Everything seems to be working fine without any issues, however i’m unable to login to my back-end using the app-platform link. On my default application (crm.bedrijfsportaal.nl) everything is working as expected, but using the app-platform domain (app.bedrijfsportaal.nl) the login doesn’t seem to be working using the exact same configuration.

Is there a limit or something else causing this issue, i would like to host my platform on a more trusted source to ensure everything runs smootly without any problems.

My session save path is ‘/app/writable/session’ the ‘/app/’ is this platform not shure if this should be included. On my plesk it’s ‘/var/www/vhosts/bedrijfsportaal.nl/crm.bedrijfsportaal.nl/writable/session’

Working with: CodeIgniter4 Source Docs: https://codeigniter4.github.io/CodeIgniter4/

Thank you!

Hi there,

What I could suggest here is, as the storage on the App Platform itself is ephemeral, meaning that it will be flushed on every new deployment resulting in losing any changes that you’ve made directly to that storage, it is better to use a different sessions driver.

I would personally go with Redis, but if you don’t want to introduce this as a new service to your infrastructure you could go with the database session handler as described in the docs here:

https://codeigniter4.github.io/CodeIgniter4/libraries/sessions.html#databasehandler-driver

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
