Question

Automatic Volumes Snapshot

apparently this only exists in Droplets, an automatic volume backup feature would be very useful (I don’t know if there is anywhere to suggest this)

Hey!

What you could do here is to use the SnapShooter service. This will allow you to back up DigitalOcean Volumes Block Storage daily or hourly. SnapShooter uses the DigitalOcean API via OAuth authentication to take backups and prune them on your behalf.

You can take a look at the following documentation on how to set this all up:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/snapshooter/how-to/back-up-volumes/

Alternatively, if you would like to see this implemented on the DigitalOcean side directly, the best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.

Hope that helps!

- Bobby.
