I’ve got a nice IP assigned to my droplet (46.101.101.0) and I want to keep it in case of accidental droplet destruction. Can I get it as a floating IP?

As of right now, DigitalOcean doesn’t allow you to select which IP’s you receive or allow you to modify their status (i.e. Primary Public IP, Floating IP, etc).
You may want to submit a ticket to see if support can help, though in general, on the users end, this is not possible.
