  • Posted October 6, 2014

I set up a server with Logstash, elasticsearch and Kibana. This functioning normally and sending logs to other servers that central. The problem is I can not send data from CPU, Memory, Disk, etc. to the server. Collectd tried using the servers for sending and receiving client on the monitoring server no longer worked. How to make it work?

Logstash collects, parses, and stores log files while Kibana is web interface to search and view them. They aren’t designed for collecting system data like CPU, memory, and disk usage. There are quite a few different solutions out there that focus on that.
