But when request certificate following error occurred:

*The domain name in the CSR does not match the domain name of the purchased order. *

Please help.

  • Does the error come from Comodo’s web interface? If yes, then it’s probably easier to get support from them, since they can see more than we can (and you’re paying for support from them).

  • Dear Sir,
Is “ openssl req -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout -out ”

the correct way to generate CSR for my domain

Dear Sir,
I have regenerated the CSR with server FQDN or YOUR name) [] and now everything seems working correctly.

Generate a CSR and private key

openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout yourdomain.key -out yourdomain.csr

Common Name: The fully-qualified domain name, or URL, you’re securing.
If you are requesting a Wildcard certificate, add an asterisk (*) to the left of the common name where you want the wildcard, for example *
Organization: The legally-registered name for your business. If you are enrolling as an individual, enter the certificate requestor’s name.
Organization Unit: If applicable, enter the DBA (doing business as) name.
City or Locality: Name of the city where your organization is registered/located. Do not abbreviate.
State or Province: Name of the state or province where your organization is located. Do not abbreviate.
Country: The two-letter International Organization for Standardization (ISO) format country code for where your organization is legally registered.
Decode a CSR

openssl req -in server.csr -noout -text
