For a Websocket backend, which should send packets at 20-30Hz to couple hundreds clients without delays, do I need a CPU optimized droplet, or a standard one is enough? The expected CPU load is <50% for most of the time.

Great question. It’s probably fine on a standard droplet, to be honest. It’s not like we’re packing them in so tightly that they’re universally unstable or anything, we’re just not making as many promises of consistency. I think it makes more sense to graduate to a CPU optimized droplet, if you’re not sure, than to start there. That’s just my two cents, for what it’s worth.
