Custom Image Help

Posted on April 2, 2019

D.O has stopped distributing Debian 8 images, so the only way I can use Debian 8 is through Custom Image. I have tried all but can’t find proper image. Can you please give/upload me direct link I can use for Custom Image in DO with either of this extensions (gz, bz2, vmdk, vhdx, qcow, qcow2, vdi, raw, img, xz) Debian 8 32bit please. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

DigitalOcean has stopped distributing Debian 8 images as the Debin Cloud team has stopped supporting them. Though they still distribute them under the “archived” section of their images.

Where are the Jessie (Debian 8) images? Debian Jessie is no longer supported by the Debian Cloud Team, as official security support for it ended in June 2018. We strongly recommend that users should move on to use Stretch (Debian 9) instead, our current stable release.

If you understand the lack of support and still have a strong need for a Jessie image, they are still available for download - see the “archive” directory.

DigitalOcean’s Debian images are based on the Debian OpenStack images. They provide both raw and qcow versions there, but I have not personally tested them.
