Does your spaces get backed up every week or included when you do a snapshot?

×Spaces is an object storage product, and has a certain amount of redundancy set up at DigitalOcean’s end, but it’s up to you to ensure your data is backed up properly.
Snapshots work by taking a copy of your Droplet (virtual server) disk image – this does not include data stored on the Spaces (object storage) service.

If you want a snapshots of Spaces, this has to be done separately.

I cannot find the option for taking the snapshot of a space using the UI
It’s a secret. :-) :-)
Yes it’s confusing. In fact I had a hard time finding it myself, and sent an e-mail to digital ocean recommending that they update their instructions to make it more clear.
The instructions are at:

The instructions needs the following:
On the far left, click on “Droplets”.
You will then be shown all of your droplets.
Click on the Droplet that you want to snapshot.
Now the instructions will make sense.
