Spaces is an object storage product, and has a certain amount of redundancy set up at DigitalOcean’s end, but it’s up to you to ensure your data is backed up properly.
Snapshots work by taking a copy of your Droplet (virtual server) disk image – this does not include data stored on the Spaces (object storage) service.

If you want a snapshots of Spaces, this has to be done separately.
