Hey guys,
we’re currently evaluating DO as our future cloud-provider, but we stumbled upon the (missing) information about the certification of the data center.
Does anyone know where to find information about the certifications of the FRA1 data center and where I can find it? I know about https://www.digitalocean.com/legal/compliance/ - but why isn’t the FRA1 data center SOC 2 Type II certified? Will it still get certified? And where can I download the report about the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification?
Thanks a lot!

Greetings!
Great question. I couldn’t tell you why the FRA1 datacenter isn’t SOC 2 Type II certified or if that is likely to change anytime soon. To be certain that you’re aware of the situation, we do not physically own the datacenters that we operate in. We are a direct customer of these datacenters. Certain certifications are more about the physical facility and therefore more controlled by the owners of the actual building.
To receive any of the certifications that we can provide, you can reach out to our support team. They will ask you to sign an NDA and send it back, then provide you with a copy. You can reach out to them after logging in here:

To Daniel and anyone else looking for an answer, earlier this year we launched our Trust Platform which provides information related to Privacy and Security. We also have a dedicated page for our Security Certifications which are regularly updated. Hope this helps!
