How do I create DigitalOcean CSR, for use in Name.com?

I was trying to obtain a free SSL Cert for use in my name.com domain which I have hosted on DigitalOcean, however, I was unable to get the CSR required for the SSL to work. Can anybody help me on this? I have seen solutions for RapidSSL and Godaddy but nothing for name.com. I don't want to change my hosting provider to Name.com and/or purchase RapidSSL from them.

Thank you.

  • Hey Thanks,

I've got the CSR and the private key however, I have a problem, I'm trying to copy the text of my CSR file from my VNC viewer provided by DigitalOcean (Because my CSR file is on my server), however, I am unable to copy the text and I'm having trouble downloading it. Need to paste txt on my name.com account to get the SSL Cert.

Am I doing anything unnecessary here?
